Laois Dance Platform

Funded by the Arts Council and in partnership with Dunamaise Arts Centre and Laois Youth Dance Ensemble, the Laois Dance Platform serves to connect dancers by exposing and celebrating their talents, establishing a dance community and facilitating a network of artists. It is also an opportunity for local dancers to present their artistry locally, to see what other colleagues are doing, and to be part of an event that can take them beyond their region. The Irish-based dance Artist Erica Borges launched the LDP in 2013 after founding the Laois Youth Dance Ensemble. Since its first edition in 2013, the Platform has been growing from strength to strength, showing case an array of talented young dancers alongside dance professionals, connecting the local people and increasing dance audience.
